Storm Market is a gamified micro-task marketplace that operates on the Ethereum blockchain and allows users to earn tokens by completing various tasks. It was founded by Simon Yu and Calvin Hsieh in 2014 via the app BitMaker. It has since evolved into an ERC20-compliant token and the Storm Play app. It aims to create a decentralized marketplace for tasks called the “Storm Market” that would work similarly to an online app store. It charges lower transaction fees than its competitors and eliminates the need for middlemen. STORM tokens are the currency in this market.
