Nexus is a community-led project aimed at fostering global connection with a focus on innovation, responsibility, and expansive technology. It was established in 2014 and its primary goal is to simplify lives, enable communities, and streamline businesses. Its main innovation is the Tritium Protocol, the first of three major architectural upgrades. Nexus works as a seven-layer software stack that supports a register-based process virtual machine. The platform offers development through industry-specific JSON-based APIs, covering multiple facets like digital identifiers, supply chain management, cryptography, and tokenization. Its employs post-quantum signature schemes (FALCON) and 'Signature Chains', which permit users to access their accounts with a regular username, password, and PIN. Other features currently under development include a Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), a hack-proof Operating System, a decentralized satellite & mesh network, among others.
